We offer servers suitable for all business situations, talk with one of our knowledgeable staff and see how we can help you today.
With four CPU sockets, a system has more processing power than our SS 2000 series systems can deliver. These generally have the most memory capacity and are the most flexible. These systems are ideal as database servers, for medium to large databases, for handling several tasks, such as Microsoft Exchange email hosting and databases, or complex Share Point Server installations. These servers are also ideally suited for Virtual Server provisioning, by consolidating many existing servers and placing them into a single manageable entity. When combined with clustering, and a SAN, it is possible to have servers move from one physical machine to another so that maintenance can be performed without having to switch off any of your servers.
Due of the practical requirements of a system, we consider these to be idea for Virtual Server workloads and for integrating into a cluster to provide redundant computing.
These servers will work well with the NS 2000 and NS 3000 storage units, for both redundancy, to keep your data safe, and for performance, making your data quickly available. These factors are key to your business sustainability.

Full TowerThe Full Tower case is the largest of the free standing case styles and has the most room for expansion and for additional components. These cases will generally be floor standing and will require their own space. This style is generally ideal for servers requiring flexibility, but at a higher cost. We would recommend these cases for systems that really need the expansion capability, perhaps with Tesler cards. |

1U Rack Mountedhe 1U Rack Mounted servers are the height restricted (44.45mm) height, which means they are highly restricted in their expansion capacity. Generally, these servers are not upgradable, since they are already full. With four CPU sockets, it is possible to have significant processing capability in a small package. |

2U Rack MountedA 1U Rack Mounted server is twice the height of a 1U device, and requires a housing cabinet. The extra height of these cases enables a wider range of components to be fitted and for greater expansion. Typically these are used for compute nodes featuring many CPUs or Tesla cards. |
4U Rack MountedA 4U Rack Mounted server is four times the height of a 1U device, and also requires housing in a cabinet. The extra height of these cases enables a wider range of components to be fitted and for greater expansion. Typically these are used for compute nodes featuring many CPUs or Tesla cards. Due to larger space available in a 4U case, it is often possible to run more powerful variants of components, so the heat can be more easily dissipated. |
