This is the essentials range of storage products and is ideal as a first step into the world of dedicated storage
This is the enhanced range of storage products and is ideal for use initially as a single socketed storage device which can easily be upgrade with the addition of an other CPU to greatly and relatively cheaply increase the performance. NS 2000 series devices make good candidates for use in virtual server environments and for running databases, file shares and other storage needs all together. Keeping all the storage in one place increases the ease of backing it up and with a second redundant device, keeping a live duplicate.
This is the extreme range of storage products and is ideal for use with virtual server or clustered server configurations. This has all the capabilities of the NS 2000 series, plus some that are uniquely applicable to the NS 3000. The NS 3000 series of storage devices also make good Storage Area Network (SAN) devices for use with database, such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
